Plan Your Next Family or Fishing Getaway -
Located in the heart of Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula, Les Cheneaux Landing is the perfect place to plan your next family vacation or fishing adventure. The area offers a wide range of seasonal activities to suit every interest and budget.
Outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen will find no shortage of things to do. Spring brings smelt dipping and perch fishing as the ice breaks up, followed by northern pike season starting May 15. Smallmouth bass fishing kicks off the Saturday before Memorial Day and is consistently excellent in these waters. Late June to early July sees the annual mayfly hatch, attracting herring and offering a great chance to catch splake—a strong, spirited fish.
Brook trout can be found in the area's creeks and streams, while the Carp River is well known for its steelhead runs. By early September, salmon and lake trout begin moving into the Les Cheneaux channels, with many fine fish caught close to the Landing.
With protected waterways and prime fishing spots nearby, Les Cheneaux Landing offers easy access to some of the best freshwater fishing in the region.
